DUCKQUANT / EDITORIAL NOTES

How authority scores work

An explanation of the citation-based ranking used throughout this directory.

What the score means

Authority measures how a resource is cited within the directory’s source collection. It is derived from relationships between curated lists, directory sites, project documentation and the resources they reference.

It describes prominence within this collection. It does not measure trading returns, product quality or suitability for a particular strategy.

From source lists to a ranking

  1. Source documents and listed resources form the nodes of a citation graph.
  2. A source’s reference to a resource creates a directed link.
  3. PageRank propagates weight through these links, sharing each source’s contribution across its outgoing references.
  4. The resulting values are normalized for display. Lists default to descending PageRank-derived authority. Original PageRank values break rounded-score ties, followed by directory date and record ID. Older entries without a stored raw value retain their existing authority score.

Reading a resource card

The score badge shows the resource’s displayed authority. Hover over it or focus it with the keyboard to inspect citation counts and independent source lists. Each resource detail page also displays these facts.

The default option is “PageRank (PR)”. Use “Recently added” to explore new entries or “Name A–Z” to browse alphabetically.

Current directory: 14,444 resources across 15 categories.

Source website screenshots

Previews show the actual public source website or repository. Only local captures that pass source, image and visual checks are published. Each capture is checked against its source route and visible resource identity, then inspected for readable content, blank areas, loading placeholders and blocking overlays. Published images have a minimum resolution of 1000 × 600 pixels. Each image is tied to its source URL and file hash, and includes its recorded date. They are not generated illustrations or reconstructions.

A preview can differ from the current website. Blank captures, error pages, loading screens and source mismatches are excluded. Resources awaiting review show a review-pending state; blocked sources show an unavailable state. Follow “Visit source website” for current documentation and features.

Coverage and limitations

Ranking depends on the sources included in the collection. Coverage is stronger for open-source tools and crypto infrastructure than for some enterprise services. Resources, links and features can change after collection.

Descriptions summarize source material. Scores are not editorial reviews.
